ABOUT THE CLIENT

Window Shopper is an online platform designed to fill a significant gap in the automotive industry in UAE.

The concept is to build a unique platform that collects and lists three main sectors (new car retailers, used car retailers, and car maintenance service providers), making it easy for sellers to showcase their products/services. At the same time, buyers can browse, discover, and directly connect with the largest number of sellers and service providers in one platform.

Project nature

The business owner approached us during the project’s early concept phase, seeking a full strategic and researchdriven consultation before launch to validate the business concept, whether it's beneficial or not, profitability potential sources and revenues, and which suitable business model. Understanding the competitive landscape by studying how leading platforms operate, their subscription models, prices, and market behavior. Our role was to deliver a comprehensive Market Research and Strategic Plan covering the online automotive industry, including both retail and service sectors (new & used car retailers, and maintenance providers).

  • Data Scarcity: Lack of accessible, consolidated data sources in the UAE automotive online sector.

  • Strategic Foundation: We conducted a consultation-based research project, providing the client with a complete strategic foundation for launch.
  • Competitor Segmentation: Competitors were segmented into three tiers: Direct competitors (offering similar services) -Geographic competitors (operating in overlapping markets) -Platform-based competitors (digital automotive marketplaces)
  • Creative Research Methods: We successfully gathered accurate pricing and subscription data (monthly, annual, and package-based), overcoming limited public availability through creative research methods.
  • Competitor Analysis Reports: Developed comprehensive competitor analysis reports, including: Website functionality assessment -SWOT Analysis for each key player - Target audience breakdown for both B2B and B2C segments
  • Implementation Roadmap: Delivered a clear strategic roadmap that helped the client proceed confidently with implementation

Performance & Trends: We began by assessing market performance and economic trends to forecast car sales growth up to 2026, helping us outline the platform’s potential for expansion and market penetration.

Pricing Analysis: We also analyzed pricing models used by leading car listing platforms across the UAE and neighboring Gulf countries to understand subscription structures, influencing factors, and promotional mechanisms. This allowed us to recommend a sustainable and competitive pricing strategy tailored to Window Shopper’s business model.

Offline Strategy: In the Offline Strategy section, we focused on defining the core challenge of attracting sellers and dealerships to subscribe to the platform while segmenting the target audience (dealerships, individuals, and related businesses) to drive indirect sales and enhance the brand’s presence.

Rental Market Study: Lastly, we conducted a comprehensive study of the car rental market in the UAE, evaluating projected market size, growth rate, and user behavior. This analysis helped us identify expansion opportunities within the premium and luxury car rental segments.
